About the team

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The Opportunity

Right now, we have a permanent ongoing opportunity for Plant Operator to join us in our Regional Maintenance crews-based Hay NSW.

You will be working under limited supervision operating a variety of major plant items at any one time. When plant is not required, you’ll chip in to support a range of labouring tasks with the team when needed. Plant Operators are provided with thorough training and opportunities to develop professionally.


About you

We’re seeking a team player and experienced plant operator who is experienced in rollers, loaders, and other heavy plant equipment. You’ll be confident, adaptable to changing to a variety of works and highly capable operating major plant. You’ll have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.

You will also:

  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety and safety of others in the workplace, and
  • Possess a valid Driver Licence ,White Card and Traffic control tickets

You may also be required to work outside normal working hours. You must be able to attend after hour call-outs as well as be prepared to travel throughout the state and work at locations away from the base station.

Whilst not essential, holding a truck license would be highly desirable.

Wage and Benefits

The wage for this position is Plant Operator Grades 2-3 ($1280.20 -1344.20) per week plus superannuation.
