The main purpose: To ensure that the property of the CTICC building is suitably maintained to a five-star standard and looked after on a daily basis. Provide material/equipment and/or ensure that there is suitable and appropriate planned, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance.
Reporting to the: Maintenance Manager
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring workshop including store activities, receiving deliveries, quality checking, dispatching goods to be returned to the Distribution Centre.
- Customer collections, ensuring that correct processes and paperwork is followed.
- Maintenance/ housekeeping of workshop and surrounding grounds is also part of the responsibilities determines and organizes work sequences and on-site applications
- On time monthly stock takes are compiled and forward to the Line Manager.
- Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order as required in line with the maintenance budget.
- Participate in monthly stock counts and reconciliation against inventory and forward to the Line Manager
- Ensure stock items have appropriate codes or labels.
- Attending to the completion of procedural instructional/transactional forms/documentation
- Data recording for fault diagnosis, corrective and preventive maintenance, condition monitoring
- As required perform general maintenance tasks and perform tasks other than maintenance duties
- Ensuring that all relevant workshop tool inspections is conducted and checked on a regular basis as required
- Develop and improve the Asset register for all electrical and hand tools
- Maintaining all tools to the required standard
- Identify all maintenance concerns, and provide the Line Manager with regular written and/or verbal feedback as required
- Participate in safety tours, behavioural assessments, risk assessments, environmental impact assessments and audits on main stores activities and work areas
- Ensure rigging and lifting equipment certification is in date prior to issue of such equipment.
- Participate in waste stream management in conjunction with HSE function (fluids, packaging, scrap materials)
- Participate to continuous improvement programs
- Ensure all projects comply with the local and company Health and Safety code
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- Literacy in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required
- 2-3 years’ experience in maintenance stores environment and supervisory experience would be an advantage
