JOB DESCRIPTION:
BAKERY Warehouse Operative / Order Picker - NIGHT SHIFT
We are currently seeking a General Bakery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our bakers, operating bakery machinery and preparing orders for delivery.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist bakers with daily tasks, including mixing, shaping and baking bread and pastry products
- Operate bakery machinery, including ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to a supervisor
- Prepare orders for delivery by pulling various products based on daily orders and packaging them accordingly
- Ensure that orders are accurate and prepared in a timely manner
- Stage products in an orderly and correct manner for delivery
- Load and unload materials and products as necessary
- Operate handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order preparation
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety regulations and work in a safe manner
